Nicole Tung: Overfishing in Southeast Asia, An Ecological and Human Crisis

Based on a nine-month investigation by Nicole Tung, laureate of the fifteenth Carmignac Photojournalism Award, this exhibition examines the environmental and human toll of industrial fishing in Southeast Asia—one of the world’s most productive yet depleted marine regions. Through field reporting in Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia, Tung traces the journey from local ports to global markets, exposing the fragility — and human cost — behind the seafood supply chains that reach consumers worldwide.

Foto Féminas: 10-Year Anniversary

Foto Féminas: 10-Year Anniversary is an exhibition that celebrates a decade of Foto Féminas, the platform founded by Verónica Sanchis Bencomo to promote the work of Latin American and Caribbean women and non-binary photographers. Featuring multiple artists from the Foto Féminas’ community, the show highlights diverse voices and visual narratives from the Latin region. The exhibition also includes a reading library of publications.
1000 Dreams

The BDC is pleased to host the 1000 Dreams project from Witness Change as an exhibition at our Courtlandt Avenue gallery. Witness Change is a nonprofit that shares the stories of marginalized groups; their projects have reached more than 250 million people worldwide, have been on the cover of National Geographic and Time Magazine, and have been exhibited inside the United Nations and the European Union.

Joe Conzo Jr. I A Look Back at the Bronx

This exhibition explores how starting at the age of 10, Joe Conzo Jr. began to carry his camera daily, photographing everything from school walkouts, to the infamous fires ravaging the Bronx, to rap battles between the Cold Crush Brothers and other foundational Hip Hop groups. Forty-five years later, Joe’s images provide an unmatched and intimate document of the complex forces that
created today’s Bronx.
