In response to concerns around COVID-19, the Bronx Documentary Center will close our facilities and cancel all scheduled events and on-site educational programs.
As a member of NYC’s cultural community, we are committed to safeguarding the health and well-being of our students, staff, and community. The BDC is working diligently with everyone who is directly impacted by the suspension of our programs.
Please note that our galleries, the Tim Hetherington photobook library, and the BDC Labs are also closed until further notice.
We thank you all for your continued support and understanding. We hope that everyone stay safe and healthy.
The Bronx Documentary Center’s Melrose neighborhood is a vibrant hub, rich with cultural and historical landmarks. Be sure to check out the neighboring Immaculate Conception church, known as the cathedral of the Bronx, and historic Alexander Avenue. Cultural beacons Pregones Theater, BronxArtSpace, Bronx Museum, and WallWorks are all within walking distance as well.
