Meet the BDC's new Community Engagement Coordinator!
New BDC staff announcement.
We would like to introduce Maria Galindo as BDC's new community engagement coordinator.
Maria is a Mixtec indigenous from Oaxaca, Mexico. She has lived in the South Bronx for 29 years and was a dedicated long-term volunteer before becoming Bronx Documentary Center’s Community Engagement Coordinator. She trusts that genuine connection leads to honest conversations. Her core belief is that education is important not just for the Latinx community, but also for the immigrant community at large.
